The President will be shown throwing
a football rather than a basketball

to Drew Brees on Thanksgiving Day.

It was announced today, November 19, 2009, that DeMarcus Ware, Drew Brees, and Troy Polamalu filmed a public service announcement with President Obama in October that will air during the Thanksgiving Day game.
On Thanksgiving Day you should see President Barack Obama tossing the football to some of the NFL players. This is a 90-second spot that shows the President and the players playing touch football with local children on the White House lawn.
The object is to promote the Play 60 campaign, which encourages physical activity to combat childhood obesity along with the President’s community service initiative United We Serve. At the Play 60 Movement you will find ways to get involved in your kids' activities, coaching, playing, and donating to the cause. Play 60 wants to encourage kids to get active for 60 minutes every day in order to combat the epidemic of childhood obesity.
The game by the way is between the Lions and the Raiders.
