Tony Salerno has lived on Long Island New York for nearly all his life and his passion and love for fishing has been with him for as long as he can remember. While Tony has been fishing over 40 years, he began writing as a freelance writer for The Fisherman Magazine in 1986. Today Tony continues freelance writing for many fishing publications both nationally and locally and has become a well known Outdoor Writer on Long Island. Aside from freelance, Tony is a Field Editor for The Fisherman Magazine as well as a frequent contributor. Tony is a weekly columnist of the outdoor pages of the South Shore Press and the North Shore Press Newspapers on Long Island. Tony is an Award Winning Writer with the New York State Outdoor Writers Association winning the Craft of Excellence award for articles published in The Fisherman Magazine.
