Kent is a member of both the Oklahoma Rifle Team and the Oklahoma Pistol Team. He has earned the Distinguished Rifleman and the Distinguished Pistol Shot badges in competition as well as having made the Rifle President's 100 during his trips to the National Championships at Camp Perry over the last twenty years. Kent is the High Power Rifle Chairman for the Oklahoma Rifle Association.
