March 1st. Not April Fool's Day but an important date. What is it? Tomorrow will be the launch of Collegeartonline.com, which is an innovative presentation of cutting-edge artwork by students, BFA/MFA graduates, and professors from art schools from all over the world.

There are a variety of people who are registered on the website. Highlights include the brilliant watercolorist Mindy Kober, winner of New American Paintings; Damian Stamer, a brilliant landspace painter with an abstract twist; Annie Purpura, an experimental photograph who mashes up both Francesca Woodman and Erwin Wurm into depictions of scary situations; Shon Kim, a painter who combines Glenn Brown with pop surrealism; Diane Leon, an abstract painter who is a professor at NYU; Bartosz Kolata, a Polish-Irish painter who reminds us of a more lighthearted Luc Tuymans; David Choi, a sculptor who combines fragile elements into Asian, Arte Povera-based sculptures; Mark Phelan, a brilliant fantasy printmaker from the Boston area; Jeff Faerber, an illustrator and painter who attacks political themes like a new version of George Grosz; and Carina Lomeli, a young painter who paints dadaistic situations like a classical nude watching an atomic bomb test without a bikini on (get it?). These and the many other fascinating painters could become the stars of tomorrow.

The owners of this online curated gallery are Adam Rosepink and Vincent de Sarthe, both of whom work with secondary art at Pascal de Sarthe Fine Art near Pheonix, Arizona. Vincent de Sarthe was also a former assistant at Tony Shafrazi Gallery in Chelsea, New York. With their combined expertise in honing artistic talent like a baseball scout, their website will feature some of the potentially future stars within the contemporary art world from places like Germany to Mexico to the United States.
