The Barista Counter at Red Tree Gallery

If there is one universal myth about the arts, it is fear.  Fear of the unknown.  Is this why so many galleries in the Cincinnati area remain empty with no one to gaze at the work of art of their walls?  What is there to be afraid of?

If you have been to the Red Tree Gallery and Coffee Shop in Oakley, there is absolutely nothing to be afraid of because it is the most inviting and down to earth art gallery the Cincinnati area has seen.  Not only is it an art gallery, but, a coffee shop and a speciality shop.  On Friday night, there's live music.  That does not seem scary does it?

Now what of the art?  The current exhibition is A Small Glimpse, with artists from the Cincinnati area as well as from around the world.  A Small Glimpse is featuring artwork no larger than five inches by five inches.  Small paintings.  Little photographs.  Mixed media.  Enamel.  Ceramics.  It's all there in miniature proportions.  The show will run until October 3.
