Director Michael Bay is about to get "Revenge" on the movie competition.
The critically spanked director who gave us 2007's "Transformers," must be smiling as he reads the news from Fandango.com, a major ticket ordering outlet.
The site reports today that 45 percent of all ticket sales are for "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen."
Those figures put the new film, set for a June 24 release, ahead of the pace set a few weeks back by "Star Trek." as well as the original "Transformers" film.
The site also reports in a survey of 2,000 movie goers that 77 percent of them were fans of the "Transformers" toy line, another good omen for the new film.
"Revenge of the Fallen" reteams those shape-shifting robots with human co-stars Shia LaBeouf and Megan Fox.
