Tito Ortiz believes he beat Forrest Griffin again (video)

At the UFC 106 post fight press conference, Tito Ortiz stated that he believed that he won his second fight against Forrest Griffin.

Perhaps Tito hasn't seen the fight replay yet, or perhaps he is just out of touch with reality. Either way he definitely lost the fight by a clear margin.

The split decision win for Forrest mainly came by way of the customary judge who was watching a different fight to everyone else in the world. Despite the fact that Tito barely moved for the third round, one of the judges gave him the fight, which would have meant he won both the first and second rounds and that Forrest only won the third by a single point.

If anything Forrest won the first and lost the second, but then won the third as a 10-8 round due to the lack of offense from Ortiz. Still, if Tito makes enough noise about it, we may well see a third fight to decide the better man more definitely. Whether Tito would be able to come up with an excuse as odd as a cracked skull in the next fight if he loses will have to remain to be seen.
