This Saturday January 28th at the National Hispanic Cultural Center in Albuquerque, Slum Dog Boxing will be hosting a USA Boxing sanctioned amateur event dubbed “Path 2 Glory”. The event kicks off at 3pm with the fights starting at 4pm.
Over 20 fights are expected to be scheduled with participants in all weight classes. Event organizer Cesar Jose Lopez extends an invitation to all USA boxing teams to participate in the event. Each participants will receive a complimentary meal from Powdrell’s BBQ.
Weigh-ins are scheduled the day of the event from 8am to 10am at the TUFF Gym located at 1705 Val Verde Rd SW in Albuquerque. General admission tickets are $10. Ringside, sponsor and VIP tickets range in pricing and can be purchased on holdmyticket.com Donations are also welcomed.
Part of the entertainment includes an autograph session with local combat-sports stars: MMA fighters Gerald Lovato, Mikey Lovato and New Mexico’s top boxing prospect, current WBC Youth Lightweight champion Fidel Maldonado Jr. There will also be Elvis Presley and Tom Jones impersonators as well as international promo models Babbi Girls.
