Salt Lake's very first Craft Lake City Festival will be held on August 8th from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in Downtown's Gallivan Center. The self proclaimed "alternative arts festival" will feature lots and lots of local creations for sale.
Craft Lake City is all about originality, creativity, and doing it yourself. It is a festival unlike any other - at least in our neck of the woods. Participating performers and artists push boundaries and dazzle the senses with loads of fun fare.
Artists booths offer affordable (really!) pieces for patrons to take home, live music will provide ambience aplenty, and street performers take to the sidewalks for the enjoyment of all revelers.
Fancy yourself a budding DIY artist? You'll find lots of inspiration for your own handmade creations as well as a host of willing teachers who are happy to share their ideas for success.
The event is 100% free. Bring the whole crew and enjoy a day filled with hand-crafted creations made by everyday artists. Music, art, entertainment. It is good.
If you're up for some additional fun after Craft Lake, head over to the Fire Water and Ice Festival in Kearns. It also runs throughout the day and is another highly unique and exciting Salt Lake Festival.
