Red Rocks Amphitheater, Morrison, Colorado. August 11th, 2009-
After a four song set, David Coverdale, frontman of Whitesnake, announced that he felt he wasn't quite over his laryngitis he had been suffering from and could sing no longer.
With a heart wrenching appology, Coverdale left the stage. "I'm sorry, I tried, I just can't do it," he stated.
At the end of the performance last night, inside sources told us that Coverdale had canceled the rest of the tour with Judas Priest and supporting band Pop Evil, due to his illness.
Judas Priest and Michigan based support band, Pop Evil, will perform extended sets to make up for the absence of Whitesnake.
Previously on August 7th, Whitesnake had canceled the performance in Phoenix, Arizona at the Dodge Theatre due to Coverdale's battle with laryngtis.
Our heart goes out to David and we wish him well with a speedy recovery!
We'll catch him next tour!

I like Judas Priest, but was going to the St. Augustine show to see Whitesnake, one of my all time favorites. Very disappointing. Hope they'll be around again. Get well, David...
