Feng Shui compass, or Luo Pan, is the major tool of a Feng Shui practitioner.
It is a compass that points to the south, and is mounted on a red square base. The compass is surrounded by concentric rings that can rotate around it.
And though the traditional Luo Pan, also called Chinese or Feng Shui compass, has been successfully serving people for thousands of years, in the modern age of high technologies it is not enough.
On August 8, 2009, Water Lou, a Hong Kong software programmer, and founder of First Water Technologies Ltd., released a Feng Shui compass application with a leveling tool for 3GS iPhone. The application works on iPhone 3GS only, and its size is 0.5 MB.
Version 1.0 can be bought for $0,99. It is iPhone OS 3.0 tested, and requires iPhone OS 3.0 or later.
Luo Pan has thrived through centuries. How long will this application be popular? Will it be? Well, who knows? Maybe tomorrow a Feng Shui consultant will visit you with an iPhone instead of a Lou Pan.

Comments
Yes, nice. But I doubt real masters will quit their beloved Luo Pan. On the other hand, the 'LuQi' App directly gives a diagnosis of your House and of the different sectors.
This latest app is indeed aimed at 'normal' people, but it's rather impressive.
Anyway, these new mobile devices excite the creativity and merge old techniques and new technology!

Janette
