The Holidays tend to be a time when we think about our wealth and abundance, and sometimes, the lack of them in our lives. Here are some simple Feng Shui tips to help you improve wealth in your life.
- Improve your front entry - Your front entry is the portal to all the positive chi available in your neighborhood. Check that this space is not cluttered and everything (door, lights, etc) are in good working order. Be sure to have an attractive entry (inside and out) to welcome positive chi into your home this holiday season.
- Strengthen your wealth gua - This is an obvious space to enhance. The "wealth gua" is in the far left back of your home, when standing at your front door looking into your home. If this space is cluttered, then declutter. Add the Wood element through either the addition of color (green, purple, blue) in accents, vertical shapes (wallpaper with stripes, tall and narrow furniture), wood furniture or add a water feature that nourishes wood, as in a fish tank or fountain.
- Ask Yourself: "Is there anything impeding my abundance? What other areas can help me achieve abundance?" Your answer may be found in any or a few of these areas: Helpful People, Fame/Recognition, Career, or Partnerships.
- Enhance Helpful People - If you require "helpful people" to help you create wealth (as in clients, networking contacts, colleagues, management), then you can enhance this gua in your home. This gua is in the front right area of your home. You can enhance this gua by using the Earth or Metal elements. Earth: stone, tile, the colors of soil (browns, beige, oranges), or the use of square or rectangular objects or furniture. Metal: anything made of metal, the colors of white or gray, and round shapes in textiles or round objects.
- Enhance Fame & Recognition - Do you need more recognition in your career? This gua is found at the back middle third of your home. You can enhance this space with Wood or Fire elements. Wood: (see Wood above). Fire: bright lighting, color red, triangular shapes.
- Enhance Career - If your front door is in the middle of the facade of your home, then it's in the Career gua. Add Metal or Water to enhance. Metal: (see above). Water: water features, as in a fish tank or fountain, color black or dark blue, irregular/wavy shapes.
- Enhance Partnerships - This gua helps if you have a business partner or partners. You can find this gua in the far back right of your home. This area is enhanced by Fire and Earth. (See above).
You may have one or more areas of the bagua missing from your home. If so, you may opt to get the help of a Feng Shui consultant to remedy this.
