Welcoming curb appeal.
According to Feng Shui, your home is a metaphor of your life. Opportunities, in any area of your life, be it relationships or business deals, reach you through your front door. Therefore, it would be prudent to review your front entry with objective eyes.
In order to increase the likelihood for opportunities to reach you, try employing some of these quick tips to enhance your front entry:
- Curb Appeal - Be sure that your home is welcoming from the street. Landscaping is appropriate and trimmed and exterior of home is well-cared for.
- Pathway - Is there a path to your front door from the street? If so, you have a bonus. Energy can readily reach you. If path is straight, you might want to soften the hard edges with some plantings on either side, or the energy will be too forceful and perhaps destructive. A curved pathway is most beneficial.
- Welcoming Entry - Check that the area immediately outside your door is clutter-free, lights and bell are in working order and that area is lit sufficiently. As a bonus, you can add a water fountain, which supports the water element of this front door area. Water stimulates the energy in this space, while also creating a calming effect.
- Inside the Door - Check that you are able to open the front door with ease. If not, repair it. Can you open the door fully? If there are items stored behind the door that prevent the door from opening fully, you are inhibiting the energy that can enter.
- Foyer - In whatever space the door immediately opens to, try to see with objective eyes. What objects do your eyes notice? Are those objects pleasing or draining you? This will also have a similar effect on the energy entering your home.
- View from Foyer - Are you looking directly out the back door or to a stove? Try to place a large plant or tied-back curtains to block the view. Does your entry open directly to a stairway? If so, you will need to employ one of many Feng Shui cures. A runner on the stairs or two large plants on either side of the bottom of the steps helps to slow the energy down.
Try these tips and you'll find opportunity knocking very soon!
