Thanks to a tip from Th3rd Eye Marketing, I stumbled across a kickin' hidden gem of a store in the city called The Alley. I love all kinds of styles and trends and a hot trend right now is the Rockabilly style and this store is definitely got some hard rock-glam rock-punk and rockabilly sensibilities! It also boasts some politicaly fired and satirical attire!
The most recent item that the owner of The Alley, Mark Thomas, pokes a little fun and sheds a little light on are the irresponsible business practices by Chrysler and its resulting bankruptcy claims. According to a source, "While stumbling through the French Quarter, with a hurricane in hand, Thomas came across an outdated Chrysler stock certificate for sale in a shop. Originally worth 100,000 shares, the certificate is now worthless. In jest, Thomas' wife remarked "Priceless." Inspired, Thomas bought the certificate and brought it home to Chicago to create a political fashion statement."
Fashion has always been a form of artistic expression. It is great to still see people making statements with the items they design and wear! The Alley's Mark Thomas made sure to send 6 shirts to President Obama in order to make sure that he remembers the thoughts and opinions of his citizens! It's great to see someone taking a risk and making their voice heard!
Definitely take some time to check out: thealley.com!
