The Hollywood Walk of Fame on Hollywood Boulevard is so ready for Halloween! Along this busy star-studded street are stores decorated with characters and creatures fit for Halloween night-outs. From the ugliest ghouls to the cutest bugs, they sit on stalls waiting to be donned. What stand out among the rest though are those sexy outfits for women. Think of Lady Gaga, a supermodel scarecrow or a skimpy-clad nurse that looks like Katie Holmes. The likes of these are fronting the stores everywhere. But that really is no surprising as Hollywood is synonymous with all things provocative.
Even this Examiner was lured to step into one of the baits and stopped on the corner of Wilcox and Hollywood Boulevard. It was just across the stars of Chicago, Tony Martin, Cantinflas and Lucille Ball. There, a gypsy-dressed mannequin centered to give you a tarot reading. Walk past her to see the door to Playmates of Hollywood.
With prices ranging from $10 to $100, Playmates has a wide range of sexy Halloween costumes that sexy-daring woman would try on. Even men, come by . . . not to take a peek . . . but to purchase for themselves. According to Herenia, Playmates store manager, police and nurse costumes are pretty popular. Disney characters and animals are also selling good while sale on their sports and 70's outfit dropped. But do not let that stop you from wearing retro sports on your Halloween party. Use that to your advantage to be creatively unique. Purchase a football player's shoulder pads. Match them with an afro wig and elevator knee-high boots. Anything goes. The weirder, the better. Who knows? You might win the eeriest Halloween costume of the night. Please do remember, every Halloween item sold is always final.
Halloween is the best time of the year to publicly express your inner fantasy! Go ahead. Be weird. Be outstanding. Be provocative. Dress like Lady Gaga if you want. There should not be any guilt-feeling right after. It is Halloween - a time for pure fun!
