It has only been a few months since Project Runway has crowned their winner, but the new moved Runway didn't waste anytime starting up new dreams to fashion designers.
Tonight starts Season 7 starts at 9 pm Central Time.
In the midst of an eclectic group is Anna Lynett, who hails from Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin. Now living in LA, she talks about growing up in Wisconsin (the good and the bad) her fashion inspirations, her favorite hangout back home among other things in an interview on www.mylifetime.com.
Lifetime Interview:
What was the first garment you ever made?
I remember making some pretty ugly skirts out of single pieces of fabric wrapped around my legs.
What is your design training?
No formal training. Entirely self-taught as a fashion designer.
What's influenced your designs over the years?
My travels, so I can analyze other cultures' answers to what is a dress or a sweater.
Do you prefer patterns or solids?
Patterns! I design patterns and screen-print the fabric for many of my garments.
What fashion faux pas drives you crazy?
UGGs.
What's the ugliest thing you've ever worn?
My clothing choices growing up in Wisconsin were rough, but I can chalk it up to lack of selection.
What's your favorite hangout back home?
My friend Lauren's living room or otherwise the Rochambo on Brady Street.
After reading the rest of her interview, I wanted to get to know her better. Her favorite designer is Marc Jacobs and loves skinny jeans and boots. She doesn't own a Blackberry or I-Phone, she prefers whiskey to wine or beer, and never wants to take on Menswear. (I don't blame her!!!) I cannot wait to see what she has in store! I hope she talks up Wisconsin, shows a funky edge and rocks the runway with wool!
