One of her favorite pieces.
"One of a kind jewelry created from vintage, repurposed, & new baubles, trinkets & treasures. Unique, romantic & funky designs that blend the old with the new." This is what Scottsdale local jewelry designer, Jessica Mundo describes her beautiful designs as. She began her company around two years ago.
Each of her unique creations has a name relating to a film, which is probably due to her and her husband's love for films. Their dog, Ollie, has a love for her mom's creations. She wears a pearl necklace around the house. She's a boxer. Can you picture that?
What is even more fabulous about the designs is that Jessica can personalize certain pieces with letters, numbers, and symbols to make that one piece that is just for you. Think initials, birthdays, etc. A perfect idea for the holiday season when you want to give that one-of-a-kind gift that no one else will have.
Mundo's pieces have been featured on local news stations and also for the websites of People magazine and In Style magazine, along with plenty of other admirable media.
I got the chance to have a quick interview with the fabulous designer.

This cherry creation is titled "Sweetness."
BS: When did you start the company?
JM: Summer of 2007
BS: Why did you start making jewelry?
JM: I was playing around with vintage pieces, and decided to make something for my sister's birthday (in 2007) and it started from there.

She can even personalize pieces to make them your own.
BS: Any up and coming trends you see coming up for jewelry?
JM: Large statement pieces. Big, bold, colorful, vintage but modern. Pearls (think 80's) but with a modern feel.
BS: Where do you shop/look for vintage pieces?
JM: Flea Markets and Etsy.
BS: What is one of your favorite pieces to make?
JM: Hard question! Sometimes I don't want to put a piece up for sale, I just want to keep it for myself. Right now, my favorites are http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=31171855 and http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=18276320.?
