Diesel, the foremost authority on cool, has designed highly styled head gear for scooter riders. It is becoming more and more popular to ride around the city in a scooter and the folks at Diesel have taken notice.
The brilliant addition to the Diesel brand will become available in U.S. stores in the fall for an average price of $250. Not only does the head gear excel in aesthetics, the utility and design are advanced with interchangeable visor, padded stitched ergonomic neck support, and a trademark Mohican crest.
The aviator visor drops down and is removable. It is made with clear, anti-scratch polycarbonate elements that offers 100% protection against UV rays. The Mowie, what the folks at Diesel are calling it, is available in sizes ranging from XS to XL and in mat White (pictured), mat Black, mat Green, and mat Bronze.
Additionally, the Diesel Creative Team considered hygienics when designing the Mowie. The padding and leather neck-roll are hygienically treated and is fully removable for washing or replacing parts with ease. The micro-lock retention system makes it easy to fasten and unfasten the buckle to adjust comfort. The outer shell is made of High Resistant Thermoplastic resin in 2 different sizes allowing all shaped heads to fit comfortably in the Diesel Mowie.
This is just one more fashionable reason to nix habits of driving your car or catching cabs around the city. Well, consider visiting your nearest Vespa or Piaggio dealer.

Correction: Previously, this article stated that New York City waives meter fees and tunnel fees for scooters. Scooters are catergorized as motorcycle and pay a discounted rate at tolls. Motorcycles are also required to pay at meters.

"New York State waives parking meter fees for scooter owners as well as tunnel fees. I bet you did not know that."
How about some fact checking before publishing nonsense?
Hey Ruby, did you know that NY state has no seperate vehicle class for "scooter". They are all motorcycles, so how would they "waive" fees for scooter riders only? Check your facts, or stick to examining fashion.
That ridge on top of the helmet is going to cause a lot of road noise, BTW. So Diesel may become an authority on damaged hearing, as well as cool.
Are you serious? Do you always make stuff up as you go?
No piece of attire or apparel get meter or toll fees waived.
Motorcycles/scooters pay reduced toll fees as established by the City/State/Port Authority/etc but every register and plated motor vehicle pays a toll and is required to feed the meter...
Please don't put out bogus information about scooter getitng waivers on parking and tolls..IT SO WRONG and UNTRUE
What they said - scooters have to pay and the police are harder on scooter riders than they are on automobile drivers. Oh yeah - and that helmet has no chin protection.
Is it DOT approved? It's illegal if it isn't.
And that "trademark" crest? What makes it "trademarked"? They put a dumbarse piece of plastic on the top and call it "trademarked"? Does that crest serve any actual purpose? It would look a whole lot better without the crest.
And yeah, I agree with everyone else, you have no idea what you are talking about regarding tolls and meter payment.
Not one mention of the New York Scooter Club, please give credit, where credit is due. Hell they even invented the scooter!
Way to edit and not credit.
Yeah, who cares if it looks good and protects your head and chin. As long as its fashionable and matches your baby blue scooter
