After the highly anticipated Project Runway season finale the winner is finally revealed. The three designer finalists, Althea Harper, Carol Hannah Whitfield and Irina Shabayeva gave it their all and pulled together elegant and polished pieces for their grand finale. After all the hoopla and moderate entertainment of this season, it was final curtain time: Bryant Park.
First up was Althea whose clothes were more realistic for the market; definitely clothes that many women would love to wear. Nothing spectacular for the wow factor at Bryant Park.
Carol's collection was an amazing subtle pop of color, especially on her fashionista-worthy deep blue gown.
Inspired by the big apple and showing a true aversion to color, Irina's collection was fierce and deemed the most cohesive of the bunch. Her collection did win over host, Heidi Klum, who noted that she wouldn't mind owing some pieces in the collection.
The winner? Irina, who walked away with a fashion spread in Marie Claire, a trip to Paris and the coveted $100,000.
Congratulations to Irina's model, Kalyn Hemphill rocked the runway with the winning designs. Althea earned second place with Carol coming in third.

None of the winners of this show (Project Runway) have benefited from winning this show. None of them have made a name for themselves. Most are penniless.
I love the cloths nice taste in cloths.
Christian Siriano benefited from winning. He was 1 of the years top 10 designers in fact. It's a matter of what they do after they win....they still have to be responsible for taking the reigns of their careers. Fashion isn't going to coddle them just because they won PR, it's a boost, and if they really want it, then a boost should be all they need.
