2009 Emmy Awards Fashion: Victoria Rowell's Emmy 'Obama dress'-Yes she can, but should she? (Photos)

Last night's red carpet was all about glamour and style.  Celebrities arrived on the red carpet dripping in jewels, strutting in Christian Louboutins and Jimmy Choos and rocking the latest gowns.

Not Victoria Rowell. Paying tribute to President Obama in an adorable way, Rowel doned a cotton strapless dress, featuring President Obama's face.

Looking more like she was heading to the Malibu shores, Victoria looked like she was having the time of her life on the red carpet.  Whether or not she was red carpet ready, one thing is for sure, she was comfortable in that dress.  Easy, breezy, beach style!

Yes she can.  And she sure did.  She definitely got what she wanted - tongues wagging and fingers tapping.  We bet Blake Lively wondered whether they were both really attending the same event and Heidi Klum wished she was the one in the comfortable dress.

Okay, Obama is president and I'm fine with that but Obama at the Emmy's? That's just absolutely ridiculous. It wasn't an "adorable way" to pay tribute to the president but did she get the award for the worst dressed? No!!! Why? Because he's Obama.

Every one needs "HATERS" so feel free to hate on Victoria Rowell and President Obama. You can not say that she did not look good in that dress. If it was just plain and simple people would still hate.

In all the people here , there is not an educated statement. To wear someone face on your outfit is normal in many part of Africa. It is used very common)for wedding, ceremonies, baby birth and even funerals.Fabric,(in contradiction to most views here in the state) are most of the time with message and sentences / meaning. It is just a statement of your attachement to either the job the individual is doing or himself. The same way many people carry pic of their family or friends on wallet, cars , wear some silly hat, shoes(in the name of fashion)It maybe strange for some cultures but it does not make it unfashionable.I love the fabric, I do not like the model with that specific fabric because fabrics like that are made to be used with imagination. She kept simple and miss it.The fabric was used with obama visit in Ghana
People,I understand that she dressed differently from what you call fashion but for a lot of people out there,a little bit of studies will help!Too much ignorance !!!
