How to rock Fall boots

     http://www.mystyle.com/mystyle/b221_line_up_style.html

Just when Fall is slowly creeping in and the temperature dipping, fashion is just getting hotter. Why else are we seeing over-the-knee boots dominating Hollywood and the runway?

Boots, Fall's staple footwear, are definitely making a comeback, and they are coming back big. Not only are they seen in different lengths, but in various colors, materials and details as well. Nine West, for instance, comes out with ankle booties in leopard-print foldover while Anne Klein deviates from Fall's basic black and brown palette to jazz up its Poki boots in suede purple.

And with all these interesting add-ons and showstopping designs on shoe racks, fashionistas are falling in line for a pair this early.

But how do you rock a pair of new boots? There's no better way to look for inspirations than to take cue from glammed-up celebrities.

Who else can we turn to for fashion tips and tricks than trend-setter Sienna Miller? The English actress, whom some blame for the UGG craze, certainly knows how to choose her booties.

Wearing a front-open black booties, the G.I. Joe star keeps her look casual yet sexy. She struts the street in style by wearing her boots with skinny denims, gray sweater, tee and accent scarf. Then, to finish off, she adds an edgy aviator eyewear.

This look is easy to copy, and is actually comfortable and practical enough for casual weekends. The key is to find boots with interesting detail, and let it stand out by pairing it with basic closet finds, like skinny jeans and tees.

Throw in a little scarf, a long, thin necklace strand or chandelier earrings and - viola! - you are ready to fabulously step out on the street.

If your style is young and preppy, call on Blake Lively of Gossip Girl for inspiration.

Slip your tootsies in a pair of slouchy knee-highs, then match them with plaid skirts, tee and knitted tops. Add a pair of sheer black or colored (for extra dazzle) tights, and you don't need to worry about chilly afternoons.

A pretty variation to the look is to dress up your comfy, slouchy boots with above-the-knee dresses. For instance, a flirty caramel-colored dress is all you need for a fabulous patio date with friends.

Or, if you dare, hit the bars in J. Lo fashion, strutting in showstopping over-the-knee boots. Keep the total look glam by matching bold high boots with sophisticated pieces, never with cheap mini skirts and see-through knits, unless you want to channel Julia Roberts' character in Pretty Woman!

That said, the best way to rock your boots is to keep the look classy, not tacky.

So retire those gladiator slip-ons, and stomp the pavement in your latest, hottest Fall booties soon.

Thanks SiennaFAN. Freudian mix-up for relating Aussie brand UGG to Sienna. Appreciate it, edit has already been made.
