Jennifer Ray Bostick, formerly known as Lovesong, now known as Venus Sky, was born in Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Wayne State University in December of 2001 with a B.A. in English. She discovered a love for the arts at an early. Jennifer is a multi-talented artist who expresses herself through various forms of art such as singing, writing, modeling and acting. Jennifer has worked with and shared the stage with many musicians in and around the city of Detroit such as Amp Fiddler, The Gorilla Funk Mob, Neco Redd, Tye Stone (Kid Rock’s artist), Darlene and Sarah and company, and various hip-hop artists such as Buff 1 (There’s Only One), 14Kt (The Golden Hour-Waiting Room, The Reprise), and many others. In addition to music, Jennifer has also participated in various fashion shows over the years, and has recently modeled for Ziam Penn, Bitchly Bizness, Piper Carter and Ris Tena-Funk in the Trunk (March 2010) and Design Define Detroit (November 2010) She was also featured in the first issue of Below Zero hair magazine (August 2004). In January of 2009, Jennifer acted in the stage play Family Ties. Currently, Jennifer is a creative writing teacher at Consortium College Prep. High school. However, she is working towards being an established writer in all aspects.
