This past Thursday fashion hungry and charitable Bostonians joined Ovations for the Cure at Terrida on Arlington Street for a night of fashion, champagne, and mingling. Terrida is a beautiful Italian boutique reputable enough throughout the world of fashion to warrant a "cult" following. Though typically known for handbags, fine leather goods, and golf bags, Terrida also offers a luxury line of apparel which was showcased during Ovations' fashion show on Thursday. The evening was sponsored by Fashion Boston and hosted by the magazine’s editor-in-chief, Alexandra Hall. Also in attendance was Boston designer Daniela Corte who admired the boutique's items as well as Terrida’s CEO, David Ringland II, who graciously discussed the lines and options with attendees.
The fashion show began and models strutted through the boutique in beautiful golden champagne silk blouses, dresses, and chic overcoats; my favorite piece being an ivory open coat, stunning on its own or even belted at the waist with your own leather of choice. Coordinating handbags were featured with each outfit in a variety of colors; most pieces come in a slew of options (think paint swatches for handbags) which makes customizing your next designer handbag as enjoyable as it will be admired. The true highlight of the night was a vibrant deep turquoise leather collection specially featured for Ovations.
In addition to a night of fashion, cocktails, and hors d’oeuvres, guests received a limited edition leather key ring, were able to participate in a raffle for one of the prized totes, and received 20% off of the evening’s purchases.
