Fragments, a Soho jewelry powerhouse showroom and boutique, hosted a press breakfast to unveil new collections and showcase staple designers. The breakfast was the right mix of fine jewelry fantasy and pocket-friendly fashion pieces.

Showroom specialists gave attendees intimate tours of the space. The sheer amount of jewels was startling, but even more major was the designer roster, including Rodrigo Otazu, Susan Hanover, Phillips Frankel, Wendy Brigode, Dominique Aurientis, Borgioni, Yewn, Gem Kingdom and Anton Heunis. The offerings range from small, specialized pieces to larger, theme-based collections so all women, and men, can find something special. My favorites included Rodrigo Otazu, Susan Hanover and Anton Heunis.

Fragments has a boutique store in Soho in addition to their impressive showroom. If you're not in New York or don't plan on visiting anytime soon, fragments.com has a great selection on their online store.

I spotted a few pieces that men could wear (Gem Kingdom, Dominique Aurientis and Borgioni, among others). I've definitely been spoiled by my visit.. I'm not sure if I'll be able to look at jewelry without comparing it to what I saw at Fragments!
