fter leaving corporate America for a less stressful and more peaceful lifestyle, Karen Wortman along with her husband opened Hidden Springs Farms in 2005. Starting with 35 acres of vacant land, they started building barns, putting up fencing, and adding animals. Karen manages the day-to-day operations of the farm including tending to the Boer goats, Angora goats, chickens, turkeys, horses, working dogs, and the barn cats. Karen grows herbs for local Chefs and eggs and veggies to her CSA customers.
