Family rights advocates mourn death of Nancy Schaefer

Former Senator Nancy Schaefer

Related Links

Family rights advocates across the country are mourning the death of former Senator Nancy Schaefer.  The bodies of Schaefer and her husband Bruce were found by their daughter Friday.  They were both in the bedroom of their home in Georgia, and each had been shot once.

The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports that The Georgia Bureau of Investigation found a suicide note written by Bruce, who was alledgedly suffering from cancer.  Nancy had been shot in the back and Bruce was shot in the chest.  People who knew Nancy balked at the idea that she committed a murder-suicide, as had been reported earlier, claiming a devout Christian wouldn't do such a thing.

Several people have posted on facebook that they had just spoken with Nancy, some saying they'd recently been with the couple.  Each one saying that everything seemed fine.  Mary Cadei Johnson wrote that she and Nancy had discussed, "the excitement of being able to meet each other in DC this July," adding, "she wanted to help me with a speech for my oldest daughter to give at the [Family Preservation] festival regarding Sibling Alienation."

Conservative Nancy Schaefer gained respect from both conservative and liberal family rights advocates for her bold and brave work exposing the corruption in Child Protection Services (CPS) and the US family courts.  She gave a speech at the World Congress on Families in the Netherlands last year where she described how the US govt. was involved in human trafficking.  View the speech HERE.  Another speech on the subject can be seen in the video below.

Rumors abound that the couple were murdered for her work exposing this corruption, and that it was made to look like a murder-suicide.

Thank you for this tribute to a great lady. She is a true hero and she is going to be missed. Her fight against CPS and her belief in their corruption at times were the only thing that kept me going. Finally someone important (along with Sen Pam Roach) got it. I posted the first two paragraphs of your article on my blog along with a link back here as my readers enjoy your articles and I like to share. I never post the entire article out of respect. Again, thank you for the tribute. My blog is called cps - a system out of control if you'd like to look at what I posted to make sure it's okay. I can't give the actual link but if you Google it, it will come up. Thanks again.

R.I.P. Nancy. YOU are still the LIGHT that will lead us out of this darkness. The corruption flows deep..the death of Nancy and her husband prove it. I am hoping that the attempt to calm the flowing sea of truth and the uprising of the multitudes of advocate/activists against the legal govt kidjacking, by exterminating NANCY WILL BACK FIRE!

I think this reminds us that "family values" doesn't always protect you from the stresses of daily living. Perhaps we can all learn from this and be reminded that judging others is not always the best way to live for we never know what is going on in the private life of others. Although I never agreed with her politics, I am sorry this happened.

Having fought the system myself... it felt like an epic battle. There isn't a thing in the world that will keep me from telling my story either... The executions of Nancy and her husband need to be exposed. There are no media stories on it which indicates a cover up. Thanks for the tribute... The only way her work can carry on is if ppl band together and make a statement...

A very nice article about Nancy Schaefer thank you. A very courageous woman who spoke out against the injustice and corruption done to families. Her voice will surely be missed but her hard work to help families must go on. We must all stand together in the fight. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family.

If Bruce was diagnosed with cancer, why would he shoot Nancy?

If Bruce was a devout Christian, why would he commit murder and why would he commit suicide?

Why would the Sheriff call in the Georgia version of the Fibbies if this was a clear-cut murder-suicide?

Why would the Georgia Republican Party run an opponent against Nancy, a popular, long time Republican incumbent, in her last bid for re-election?

With all of these obvious questions and since Nancy was interfering with the power and cash flow of those in government, does anyone believe the government’s story about this being a murder-suicide?

It looks much more like a hit sanctioned by the powers that be and covered-up by their “law” enforcers and their propaganda machine.

Thank god that deplorable woman is dead. I don't know what you all are smoking but anyone who labels all homosexuals as "pedophiles" and "amoeba carriers", and also is against bills that empower women in abusive relationships to get help for fear of that ALMIGHTY sin, divorce, is a worthless human being devoid of a soul. This suicide should make you all wonder about what true evil is hidden behind anyone who lives such a hateful and judgmental life.

The fact that you all are praising her shows how ignorant and hateful you all are.

Nancy was indeed one of God's children. As we all are. At this time of sadness and loss I extend my sympathy to her family and loved ones. As I know their burden is great at this time. I hope that they can find comfort and hope in their family and in their faith.

While only the Lord can pass judgement on the virtues of the way one lived one's life it does seem appropriate to comment on the 'political/public' agenda as put forth by Mrs. Schaefer as it is indeed the legacy of her life in this temporal realm. In that regard I fear that she failed miserably to follow the word of the Lord. As her message of division, judegement, and hate is, in my mind, in complete opposition to the teachings of Jesus Christ. In my personal opinion she was less of a Christian than many of the 'sinner's she condemned.

None the less - I firmly believe in the attitude of 'Hate the sin but love the sinner' and pray that the Lord my forgive her.

Apparently I did not express my clearly. As your response indicates that I somehow attempted to 'veil' my criticism of Mrs. Schaefer's public actions. That certainly was not my intention. As I am certain that I believe many of her actions to be completely contrary to the teachings of Jesus Christ. And based on what I know of her actions I find it astonishing that so many people find reason to praise her political life.

If I somehow did not make that quite clear in my effort to express myself in a loving and Christian manner then I apologize for my communcation's shortcomings. I was only trying to clearly separate my judgements of certain aspects of her politcal life from any possible judgements as to her Christianity. As only God is qualified to judge the latter.

CPS kills children all day, every day, all over the world. So why would anyone be shocked if it turned out that they murdered the woman who has done so much to expose them.

CPS takes evil and corruption to heights that the most evil criminals and gangs never even dreamed of. And don't forget, they are a worldwide gang of criminals, they have the support of everyone from powerful politicians to movie stars, they use our tax dollars to commit their crimes. Even in the USA alone, they are beyond a trillion dollar industry.

We don't know yet for sure who murdered Nancy Schaefer and her husband, but we do know that it is highly implausible that it as a murder/suicide. We do know that there were two groups (who are, actually, often one and the same) who despised Nancy Schaefer and wanted her out of the way: CPS and homosexuals.

As soon as I heard Nancy Schaefer was dead as a result of gunshot wound/s, I immediately suspected the powers-that-be ASSASINATED her. We need to gather the facts and the evidence and we need an OBJECTIVE, INDEPENDENT, HONEST team of forensic experts to examine the crime scene and be present at the autopsy. She was releasing a book about the overzealousness and kidnapping-under-color-of-law by the Child Protective Empire, sometimes known as Child Protective Services or CPS. The system wanted to SILENCE her voice and stop LIGHT from being shed on the dark, evil shadows of the CPS and anti-family "social services" sociopathic bureaucrats. Beware of "anti-social" social workers (who work for Big Brother). They are part of a Social Marxist scheme to do away with the institution of families and liberty.

And that she did so most agressively.

The only message from Mrs. Schaefer that I can take away from this is something akin to: 'You do not follow the specific moral code that I deem to be appropriate for your life. "If Bruce was diagnosed with cancer, why would he shoot Nancy?"

Perhaps because he new that he was about to kill himself. He loved his wife very much, he knew that she was a Christian and that her death as a murder victim would only result in her joining God. He wised to spare her the suffering that surviving his suicide would have brought her.

Greg, "nice" attempt to make people believe that my 4 simple questions have been answered. They haven't. A couple of lame attempts to explain why Bruce may have killed Nancy and shot himself have been made, but they were just wild speculation since the suicide note has not been released.

Once it is released, we will know more, but until then, we just have to go with the fact that it was such an open and shut murder-suicide that the Sheriff had to call in the Georgia Fibbies even though there was a note or maybe the Fibbies "found" it.

I wonder why you and Jack don’t want to deal with the other two tough questions. Once again, why would the Sheriff call in the Georgia Fibbies if this was a clear-cut murder-suicide and why would the Georgia Republican Party run an opponent against Nancy, a popular, long time Republican incumbent, in her last bid for re-election?

If you are going to try to confuse the public, try to come up with some explanations for these two questions.
