Family Rights 101: Where can I learn more and hear victim stories?

Parents who find their rights violated in the many ways that can result in losing contact with their children often feel completely alone.  Parents who worry they are looked at differently by their community are less likely to reach out for help.  And the grief that comes with what is described as a living death can lead to self-imposed isolation. Fortunately they can share their stories and find information and peer support online.

The following list consists of internet podcasts and radio shows, some live and interactive, as well as audio archives about family rights issues.  These audio shows feature interviews with professionals and victim families.

An open-ended collection: Please post family rights audio shows in the comment section that have been over-looked and that you would recommend.

in April, 1989 was placed under the care of Mark and Angie Roberts as a ward of the state of Oregon.

Mark Roberts often physically abused me by grabbing me by the arm and leaving bruises, punching me in the scrotum, shoving me into walls, and picking me up by the throat and throwing me.

My brothers, Dennis Snegirev and Daniel Snegirev, and I attempted to report the abuse to Mr. Al Bushey.

As a result of our efforts to report the abuse taking place, my oldest brother Daniel Snegirev was taken and placed in a different foster home.

Instead of Mr. Al Bushey causing an investigation, Dennis Snegirev and I remained under the care of Mr. and

Thank you for bringing this dirty little secret to the light of day. So far there is no place to go for help, but only to vent. Venting is a good thing but ultimately the parents are still left without help.

Talking about it publicly is the first step. Hopefully more victims will come forward and share their story so that others won't suffer alone... in silence.

I've found that CPS cares very little for the rights of children, they just want to sell them to the highest bidders, like they were slaves.
