Dad tags MA courthouse in protest over visitation

An unhappy parent was caught red-handed tagging a courthouse after being denied a holiday visit with his sons.  Andrew Steele, 45, of Tacoma, Wash. used three cans of spray paint to write "Steele boys rights denied" in large letters on the Brockton District Court in Boston, Mass.

Steele's writing goes all around the building.  You can see video here.  A passerby reported him to police around 2 am this morning.  He admitted to the spray painting and his hands were stained red with paint.

Maybe he was inspired by John Murtari, founder of akidsright.org.  Murtari has written on the Wayne County Hall of Justice Courthouse in Lyons, NY several times.  He says he wants Assemblyman Oaks to take up the cause of family rights.  See Parents picket, activist incarcerated, $1k bail for chalk message.

There is a big difference between Steele's actions and Murtari's.  Murtari uses children's sidewalk chalk to write on buildings and sidewalks, which can be wiped off with a rag and disappears every time it rains.  The estimated cost to remove the spray paint is $2,800.  Steele remains jailed with $50,000 bail.  His court date is Jan. 6.

I can understand his frustration and support his actions 100%. More dads need to start taking a stand. I hear dads saying they would lay down their life for their children but then allow corrupt judges in corrupt courthouses to abuse their children every day?

I say let's fill the jails with dads and see how well this country runs without us! I am on my way to buy some red spray paint, hopefully it's sold out from all of the fathers before me!

Does an $1800 clean up bill really matter compared to the tragedy of families and children that are being harmed and abused by unfair judges? That's the point of this act of civil disobedience: to bring this problem to the public's attention.

The paint used was nonpermanent and it's gone from the building, but the problem remains.

Also, is $50,000 bail and three weeks in jail justified with less than $2000 in damage??? That's what should outrage people.
