A mainstay in the downtown Annex community, the Children's Storefront parent-child drop in centre was left without a home after an early Halloween morning fire gutted the building that houses it.
The fire started in the rental apartment above the centre at 1079 Bathurst Street.
There is a Facebook page set up called The Children's Storefront Needs A New Home and rebuilding efforts are already underway.
Many people have expressed their love for the storefront, as it's affectionately known, in writing on the page, which also has this description: "The Children's Storefront, a storied Toronto institution that has been providing a friendly, safe place for families to play and connect and has saved the sanity of many a parent of young children was burned down on Saturday, October 31. We will need a new space as well as to replace all materials lost to the fire."
