Lately, I have been checking out quite a few of the blogs created by those incredible thrifty moms who really know how to save money. These women figure out how to stack coupons and sales so they get the best deals, and often they save hundreds of dollars. It really is amazing. I haven't yet mastered their techniques, and I probably never will, but I have learned quite a bit. In fact, I have even gotten a few things for free using coupons and the tips they offer.
Here are a few of my favorite local money saving mom blogs:
Thrifty Northwest Mom: This is a nice blog full of coupon tips and freebies. It is updated regularly. Click here.
Seattle Moms Deal Finder: This one focuses on individual deals, rather than how to use coupons, which is fun because I love that sense of instant gratification that comes from getting a freebie like a cup of coffee or a kid's DVD. Click here.
SnoCounty Savers: This one has special details about specific stores in our area, including Albertson's, Fred Meyer, Rite Aid, Safeway, and Walgreens. This one is nice because most of the really popular blogs don't address our local area stores. Here you will find tips on excellent deals and suggestions for which coupon to use with which sale. Click here.
Here are a few more of the bigger more national money saving mom blogs:
Money Saving Mom: This is a mix of the freebies and the coupon strategy planning. I like this one because you can sign up for a daily email of all her posts, getting the deals right in your inbox. Unfortunately, most of the stores she covers aren't in our area. Click here.
Mommy Snacks: This one is a lot like Money Saving Mom, with the mix of freebies and coupons planning. You can also get a daily email. Click here.
