When you and your kids get socked in by the rainy weather, sometimes all you need is a place to go where the kids can stay dry but still run around. Fortunately, one local company is offering families a free option for getting some exercise on a cloudy day.
Rainbow Playsets showcases back yard playground structures at their Kirkland location. They now also allow kids and families to come use that equipment on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings, for free! All you need to do is call ahead and book a spot- you can't just show up, because they have limited space.
The showroom has two areas, one indoors and one outdoors. The indoor space includes 4 full playground sets, including slides, swings, and climbing equipment. The outdoor space has even more to offer with many more full-sized playground structures. Both spaces are available for use during their free play time. On rainy days (or days when it has recently rained), it is a good idea to bring at least one large towel to dry off slides and swings, unless your children don't mind getting a little wet.
This is a great free service for families looking for some indoor recess time. Be aware: some home school groups also use this service, so even if you are the only person officially signed up, you may still find a crowd. Otherwise, it is a wonderful way to let your kids get their wiggles out!
