With Halloween just around the corner our children's thoughts turn to things scary. Store shelves are filling quickly with horror costumes, plastic skeletons and "furry" paper spiders.
San Francisco Bay area parents have an opportunity to give their children an up close and personal experience with something that causes many people fear: tarantulas.
The San Francisco Bay Area Tarantula Society will also be showing and selling other types of spiders, scorpions, giant cockroaches, different bugs and snakes.
This creepy crawly event happens in Concord on October 3. See below for details.
