"Blessing the Children" is the theme of the 2009 Reggae Rising Music Festival. This 3-day reggae and world music festival in beautiful Humboldt County, California starts this Friday, with tickets still no longer available.
This years Reggae Rising theme is inspired by Earthdance International's "Blessing the Children." Children 12-years-old and younger get in free with paid adult.
Performers include Luciano, Gentleman and the Far East Band, Marcia Griffiths, Toots and The Maytals, The Original Wailers, ASWAD, Tony Rebel, Queen frica, Capleton, Sister Carol, DeMarco, Jah Mason, Chezidek, Dezarie, Freddie McGregor, Lutan Fyah, Niyorah and Million Stylez.
Also performing are Rootz Uderground, Chino, Laden, Rebelution, Prezident Brown ft. Andrew Diamond, Ras Michael, Medicine Drum, Messenjah Selah, Jah Dan, Norrisman, Bobby T and the Magical Voyagers, The Alliez, Humble Soul, The Pyrex Band, Jahcoustix, Moese Angel Tribute and Ishi Dube.
The after hours Club Umoja offers "the hottest in Reggae music spun by West Coast ruling selectors, live performances by up and coming Reggae acts, as well as a solid lineup of some of the wickedest artists in the business" with live performances by Million Stylez, Norrisman, Messenjah Selah and more.
