If your Holiday plans this week include flying out of DIA, make sure you factor in extra time into your schedule.
According to Orbitz.com, DIA will be the 3rd busiest airport in the U.S. this week, following behind Chicago O’Hare International (#1) and Los Angeles International (#2). This list includes the top 50 U.S. airports and was based on flight bookings for Thanksgiving week.
What can you do to make your time ‘in the crowd’ a little less of a hassle?
If you’ve already made your reservations and have your tickets, utilize your airlines internet check-in option, keep a close eye on flight status by calling your airline or online, and have items that you need to show security, easily available at checkpoints.
Haven’t made your airline reservations yet? Be flexible when choosing dates of travel, this may help you avoid the largest crowds, and if you have a choice of alternate airports, chose those less busy.
Read the Orbitz list for busiest airports this Holiday.

Thank goodness we're not traveling this year.
My poor 19 yr old son, who happens to have mild autism, was stuck there last month, overnight! I had such a fit with the airline. Thankfully, United came through with a room at nice hotel and food. He did great, *I* was scared to death!
