Move over powder puff football and girls under the hood (aka car mechanics know-how for women) as Techlicious makes its debut. Suzanne Kantra, a leading consumer electronics expert, has launched Techlicious as an easy to use on line technologies resource with information, tips and advice for enhancing women's lives, such as making purchasing decisions on electronic technology products.
Kantra notes in her press release, "Studies have shown that women often make primary purchasing decisions on home electronics equipment, and yet until now there really has been no resource specifically designed for women that addresses today's fast-changing technology world from their perspective."
Experienced consumer products pros write the wide range of articles and blogs for Techlicious. Regular sections on the site include: Health and Home, Computers and Software, Phones and Mobile, Family and Kids, and Audio and Video.
Kristin Metz Mentz, a marketing consultant and administrator for Women's Giving Circle of Howard County, has a strong background in supporting women's groups. Mentz encourages women and girls to gain educational, social and leadership skills that they can use both personally and professionally. Mentz views the launching of Techlicious with its focus on women and technology as "good timing."
"Gadgets and technology are constantly changing today, so having a reputable 'go to' resource that evolves while supporting the notion of educating 'women' on this topic is revolutionary. Being a visual learner, having video options is so helpful to really see how to do something. If the website can do this without women feeling like they're reading a 'dummies' book, way to go!" says Mentz.
Mentz is enthusiastic about sharing Techlicious with her clients provided the website proves itself as a reputable resource for her and other women to make educated decisions on technology products and services. "Women are very resourceful and we rely on the word and recommendations of other women in our network. If we find a 'good thing' we are eager to share it and test it out; and if we get positive results, share it, and use it more," says Mentz.
Techlicious viewers will most likely have their own favorite categories. "Blogging Your Baby" and "Take Better Baby Photos" grabbed Mentz's attention, as did the graphics accompanying subject lines overall.
Viewers have much to look forward to as Techlicious develops articles within such subcategories as: Health & Fitness, Baby & Toddler, Kids, Seniors, Pets and more.
