We're off to see the wizard

Are your children interested yet in The Wizard of Oz?  This month, the Long Island Children's Museum is celebrating this American film classic with some amazing exhibits and Oz-related activities.  On February 17 and 18 at 3pm, enjoy this classic with the whole family as you settle into the LICM Theater for the MGM film featuring an all star cast: Judy Garland as Dorothy, Bert Lahr as the Cowardly Lion, Jack Haley as the Tin Man and Ray Bolger as the Scarecrow. Follow along as Dorothy and her dog, Toto are whisked away to the magical land of Oz and she overcomes many challenges on her journey to get back home.

This film is recommended for kids ages 3 and over.  Admission to the movie is $4 with museum admission ($3 for museum members) or $4 for the theater only.  The Long Island Children's Museum is located at 11 Davis Avenue in Garden City.  For more information, contact the museum at 516.224.5800 or visit their website at www.licm.org.
