
Atlantis Marine World is Long Island's Aquarium located on the Peconic River in Riverhead and features more than 100 exhibits and interactive experiences, including Shark Dive, the 120,000-gallon Lost City of Atlantis Shark Exhibit, North America's largest all-living Coral Reef display, Penguin Pavilion, Ray Bay, Snorkel Adventure, Shark Reef Lagoon, Sea Lion Shows, Japanese Snow Monkeys, Atlantis Explorer tour boat, Interactive Salt Marsh, Trainer for a Day, and the archaeological dig site, Unearthing Atlantis.
From Wednesday, November 11 through Sunday, November 15, 2009, Atlantis Marine World is offering free admission for all active and retired Armed Forces members with a valid military ID as a way of expressing their gratitude and support for the men and women who are currently protecting our country, as well as the thousands who have given their lives to secure our freedom. To take advantage of this special promotion, visitors are asked to please present their Armed Forces ID Card at time of purchase.
Atlantis is also thanking residents of their hometown by offering free admission to Riverhead township residents every Friday in November, as well as on Thanksgiving Day. Upon entry, guests must show proof of residency in the Town of Riverhead and must reside in one of the following towns: Riverhead, Wading River, Jamesport, Aquebogue, Laurel, Calverton, Baiting Hallow, Northville, and parts of Manorville.
