Nothing is free anymore, right? Wrong. Give your wallet a rest and take a look at Frank Brown Park in Panama City Beach.
The park is conveniently located on Back Beach Road just west of Pier Park.
Whether you’re 2, 12, or 62, there is something for everyone at Frank Brown Park. The park encompasses over a hundred acres of outdoor recreation facilities. There are:
- playgrounds,
- soccer fields,
- picnic areas,
- bicycle trails,
- tennis courts,
- basketball courts,
- shuffleboard courts,
- jogging paths,
- a fishing pond,
- a fenced dog play area, and an
- aquatic center.
There is also a Community and Senior Center that hosts special events, civic club meetings, and a variety of classes for all ages. There is a charge to use the aquatic center, but the rest of the park is free.
What better way to spend the afternoon? You can take the kids fishing at the pond. Let the dog socialize with some other pups in the dog play area. Play some tennis with your significant other. And the whole family can shoot some hoops or chase a soccer ball around the fields.
Bring a picnic lunch with you and enjoy the day! Water fountains and restroom facilities are available year round.
