For those of you who love watching daredevil pilots and military planes in action, come to Jones Beach on May 23rd and 24th for the 2009 Bethpage Federal Credit Union New York Air Show. The USAF Thunderbirds will be on display, along with military and civilian aerobatic performers; to watch these amazing pilots soaring, dipping and somersaulting over the Atlantic is truly amazing!
Hours are from 10 AM to 3 PM on both days. Admission to the show is free, but the $8.00 vehicle parking fee does apply. Be sure to bring sunblock, beach chairs and extra clothing in case you or your little ones get chilly. The website suggests earplugs as well, especially for children; those planes can get loud. And get there early; this is one of Long Island's most popular events!
