This song and chant were taught to a group of small children at S. Bernice Elementary School in New Jersey. It has many parents outraged as they did not know about this and even more outraged when they saw their children on YouTube without their knowledge or permission. The song is sung to the tune of "Jesus Loves The Little Children." The teacher, substituted the name of Jesus, for Barack Hussein Obama. A little six year old boy was previously expelled from a school in North Carolina for sharing pencils with his classmates that had stamped on the side, "Jesus (heart sign for loves) You!" There is an estimated 1,000 students in this school.

What do you say to this? Does this have a place in our public schools? Is this over the top? Do you feel that small children in school should be involved in politics especially one particular party? Is this indoctrination?
We saw the school where the boys were dressed in military type clothes marching and chanting about Obama - the little children singing in front of the Obama sun rising logo, and the recent outcry of the public over the President speaking on the first day of school until he had to post his speech in advance (which was edited from original speech); which included lesson plans from the NEA. We saw where a law was passed that every public school child would be taught lesson plans regarding the Constitution on Constitution Day - but what? In the 1960's the NEA said that it was their desire to have complete control over all the children. They have almost succeeded. Children are a captive audience - no way to escape or just walk away. Should teachers be allowed to push their political agenda on her students? Suppose the shoe was on the other foot and they sang about something or someone else? This smacks like two children's commercials indicating something good they like - M & M's and Campbell's Soup.

Black History Month- Black President what's the big deal. What is going on -past songs praising presidents most recently Bush was okay or Reagan never heard a complaint.
Laura: Thank you for your comment. I have been involved with public schools for over 60 years and I never heard of such and all the while the teacher with her book on display trying to sell her book? These are very impressionable children and they hear enough of the strife going on in the world; they do not need to be put into this position. The schools are to teach subjects and skills not drag them into politics. They need their childhood. Things like this also contributes to the ever widening strife between races; just the opposite of what Martin Luther King taught and preached. The reason people are alarmed is that this smacks of what happened to children in countries with dictators. And to use the tune of a little Jesus song while they cannot even say the blessing over their food? It is important to teach children to be thankful as well. Have you heard of Irish History month? Latino History Month? They helped build this nation as well. This is not as innocent as it seems.

Bush or Reagan never had a song sung for them that has the lines "Red, yellow, black and white, they are precious in His sight, Jesus loves the little children of the world," changed to "Barack Hussein Obama, He said red yellow black or white, all are equal in his sight."
Bush or Regan were never glorified as if they were some god, and not within a public school funded by taxpayer dollars, either.
Apparently the school officials did not notify the parents that they were going to have their kids worship Obama. Nor does it look like they gave them an option to opt their kids out of it. Who do they think they are? The parents, not the teachers, call the shots. The teachers are to do what they parents tell them to do in regards to their children, period.
If the teachers want to be the boss, then they can take the kids home with them and raise them personally.
John,Thank you for your comment.It is easy for some to see the real issue here and not just surface idol worship.Sadly, many children have been denied the right of learning the Ten Commandments which says Thou shalt have no other gods before God.They came for our children 20-30 years ago-we did nothing history text books have all been changed and no one said anything; put books in the library that endorses same sex marriage-we did nothing.They took away the Lord's Prayer at football games-they did nothing.They took away the right of Christians to use any public building to express their faith-yet they put foot washing sinks in airports. Why are we all of a sudden pandering to other religions while we sit back and see our Christian faith dissolved from the public place. The parent did know or they don't read the correspondence sent home.

Fox News On the Record with Greta Van Susteren had someone say that parents were sent the lyrics of the song in advance, as is standard procedure with performances of this sort, and that no one voiced any concerns about it. He noted the performance took place in February, shortly after the inauguration of the 44th president, when Obama's popularity ratings were riding high
Also, -Pat research the history of Black History Month and you will have your answer as to why it exists. I'm disgusted with all the people that are now up in arms and turned off with all the discussion about dictators, race, etc..This is not as innocent as it seems you are correct. It's hypocrisy at it finest.

Laura, Why did parents go on TV and say they knew nothing about this? Can you offer proof the parents were notified or is this just your comeback? The world has seen the parents on TV say they knew nothing about this. Watch for Part two where I will post the letter from the school not apologizing in a letter after the fact. I know a lot about Black History and revere so many Black citizens in America who have contributed so much to this nation.I love most black people-worked with them, lived next door to them, still do, played with them when I was a child - have children with many black friends - many who don't agree with Obama - does that make them racist? If you are tired of reading and hearing about the opinions of others-don't. Others have the right to their opinions and freedom of speech as well. People who defend people just because of the color of their skin are no different than those who oppose a person because of the color of their skin. Look up the word hypocrite.

You missed the point. The teacher had no business having this song sung in the first place.
There never should have been any song where Obama's name was substituted in place of Jesus.
Parents need more control and say so over what takes place in schools. Maybe this is a first step in outraging parents into taking their schools back.
Schools are for the kids, not the teacher, the NEA and the teachers unions. And the parents of the kids (last time I checked) still had final say concerning their kids.

Indeed, where is Laura's proof? I have ssen where parents were outraged over this. Based upon multiple parents being outraged over this, it looks to me like the parents were duped, knew they had been had, and that the school did some slick selling of the praise to Obama song.

The advancement of a political point of view or a political agenda has no place being promoted in public schools, especially to the youngest members. How dare anybody to try and push something on a young child, perhaps in direct opposition to what the parents think, believe or feel. I would never allow my child to sing this song. I did not vote for Obama and my children singing for him goes against what we teach at home. He has not been in office long enough to be praised for any reason. Having children sing his praises does resemble what communist countries do and it is very scary. I think the entire school should be held accountable. This is outrageous and disgusting.
I must say: as an african who has seen it ALL as far as political spectrums are concerned (from BRUTAL dictators to people-powered democratic revolutions) it strikes me that you guys are VERY paranoid !

Home school your children. They should learn YOUR family traditions, morals,and religion not what the government decides in it's twisted logic. Time to take a stand on the innocence of our children. If we don't, no one will.

Children in the early years of this country were all homeschooled and then when they hired a teacher, they were moral and upstanding and taught from a Christian base - all these colleges that were established by those of the Christian faith must be rolling over in their graves to see how liberal they have become. It seems somewhere along the way - we just backed off and gave our children over to the state. No wonder they turn to drugs and alcohol - they are hurting from both family and school life. It is always the children who pay. However, only those who are committed to spending the time, effort, energy, and money into homeschooling should do so as some lazy parents have taken this as an excuse to just not send their children to school; but the ones I know personally have done wonderful jobs of teaching their children and they succeed in college and in life; with their faith and morals still in tact.

Did you miss the point? Being white has nothing to do with it. Obama being black has nothing to do with it. This is about exploiting innocent children. Making performers out of them for their own agenda and putting it on YouTube? Come on now Jerry - it is not about those cute little kids singing. Sexual predators have seen their faces and know what school they go to and they could have been put in serious danger; don't you think? The NEA has been getting away with far too much regarding our children - they do not belong to the state; but to their families. If they can't sing Christmas Carols; they shouldn't sing things that offend their parents either. They are just little children and should not be concerned with politics.
Last time I checked, there were no songs about either Bush presidents or Reagan. The bottom line is our children should not be persuaded to go left or right simply because a teacher or administration wish to do so. This has nothing to do with Obama's race. It may have to do with some of his influences. As a non-believer in conspiracy theories, but a watcher and listener of history and under reported events, I realize something is VERY wrong. There are too many in Washington that seem to be moving forward an agenda that has nothing to do with America. It would seem that Obama is only the figurehead. We call him Barak Headroom like Max Headroom. Some wonder if Hillary is actually the key one in power. As a president she cannot travel around the world freely to make deals and help organize a "get America out of the way" plan. As secretary of state she can!
