Another knock your socks off expose’ regarding the proposed movement across America to exchange Democracy for Socialism. Beware wolves in sheep’s clothing.
Daniel Hannan, is a member of the European Parliament and he warns America about not falling in the bottomless pit that England did. He warns about government health care when socialized becomes
“health management.” Be sure to read to the end and click on the video of his speech - this is a real eye opener.
He states that his agenda is to return his country, England, back to Democracy. No matter what his agenda may be, he speaks the truth about America. He wants England out of the European Union and once again become an independent nation – making their own laws and governing their own people. How far away is America in joining a union with other nations that would take away our freedoms as a sovereign nation? He talks about how the everyday person can be duped into the fold by measures like health care – while there is much more involved. How far away are we from adopting all of Europe’s mistakes? How far away are we from one world order? One currency – many think we should use the Euro – rather than the dollar – and how far away is that from one world bank and one world government? Mr. Hannan says the one who controls the currency will control the world.
It is kinda like dropping kernels of corn along the trail leading the sparrow into the trap. The bird is so interested in feeding his own need and desires – he walks with his head down – not looking where he is going – or looking about him until he hears the trap slam shut. That is what conservative Americans see us doing – it is not about just passing health care for the uninsured – but a much bigger movement toward a socialistic government like England’s socialistic democracy. Sounds like an oxymoron, huh?
Conservatives would like to see positive change toward a better America – not an American/European co-op. Don’t people realize that Pelosi, Dodd, Frank, and President Obama cannot administer the insurance claims of 300,000,000 people? THEY WILL CONTRACT IT OUT AND THEN OTHERS WILL MAKE BILLIONS. The fraud will make Medicare look like a pristine, angelic fraud-free agency. Those who stand to gain from the contracts are spending millions and millions to get this bill passed into law including some lawmakers. Our legislative branch of our government has not shown any care for what the American people needs or wants – don’t we have to ask ourselves why this is so important to them? Why haven’t they done anything all these years about Medicare fraud?
True story: I had a test done at a local hospital and a simple lab test cost $900.00 – they knew I would not have to pay it because of my joint Medicare and private pay insurance. But then I find out they did not even run the test; but billed Medicare and my insurance company for the $900.00. I contacted my insurance company of many, many years and immediately spoke to a representative. They said they were secondary and I would have to contact Medicare as primary – that is another whole goose egg - so I did. You got any idea how hard it is to get someone from Medicare on the phone – and how long? Days.
When I explained to the lady on the phone – who put me in mind of Lilly Tomlin of Laugh In days where she chewed gum and filed her nails while being the “operator” – she said this – truth, truth She said that is was my responsibility to contact the hospital and make them pay Medicare back. I told her I had already notified the hospital of the “error?” But had seen no action taken. I also told her that we were supposed to report such to Medicare and she said, “Well, I am sorry there is nothing I can DO FOR YOU?” So much for reporting as they say we should.
Another truth – before my husband died he went to an podiatrist because of being diabetic and having foot problems. He was told that the shoe he wore was detrimental and was asked, “Did you know that Medicare will pay for your diabetic shoes?” My husband, thinking he was getting something comfortable and usable, allowed them to come out and measure his foot – they sent him the most awful looking hard sole – hard topped shoes – military looking shoes. They were so heavy he could not even walk in them. He called them and told them to come and get them. He later learned that Medicare paid $400.00 for those shoes and your guess is as good as mine where they ended up. He went to Wal-Mart and bought a soft, safe pair for $6.99 a pair. The Scooter store and others like them charge Medicare patients $6,000 for a chair while you can buy one off the street for about $3,000. When I questioned that, “I was told that Medicare had a contract and didn’t actually pay that much. Another truth: A lady told me that in searching for information about her mother’s Medicare coverage, she was directed to Blue Cross and Blue Shield?
Just how far does greed have to go in this country before the whole house of cards fall?
How many foreign countries will benefit from our change in free enterprise health care to government issued health management? Will we outsource the jobs required to at least attempt to get this program working? Will we deny jobs in America and give them to foreign countries who work for peanuts – or is there where he is promising so many new jobs – how long before the government will also be our employer?
Our government cannot even supply the needs of our soldiers who are fighting and dying for our liberty – they can’t even buy them bullet proof vest – and or clean socks to wear. They don’t even provide them with sanitary items, health care items and toothpaste for crying out loud. They could not even provide bottled water for people dying on the bridge after Katrina. New Orleans mayor could not even provide school buses to evacuate the people before they drowned. And they are going to take care of 300,000,000 men, women, and children? President Obama said this week that insurance companies rationed health care – that would make it okay for the government to do the same thing – where is the “CHANGE?” Insurance companies furnish their insurers with a booklet outlining what they do and do not cover – what choices you have of plans to give you what you need and can afford. With Medicare, you show up at the ER needing an x-ray for a possible blood clot in your leg and are told that Medicare does not cover that. A private insurance company is accountable to the law and can be sued if something goes wrong – the Federal Government cannot be; and neither will this new health care management be held liable - nor will their government paid doctors and nurses be held accountable to the law for malpractice.
The wealthy will get far more wealthy and we will be stuck with a cruddy health care system – where it will no longer be heath care – but health management. We will see more agencies cropping up all across America needed to implement this bill if passed. Could ACORN be waiting in the wings? And what about all the other agencies with alphabet names be holding their hands out for?
Hear and see in this video how England’s health care program is the third largest employer in the world and their citizens are getting anything but health care.
We will be paying more for these bureaucratic agencies than we could ever imagine paying monthly premiums to our own selected insurance companies. People are asking, “What is the alternative?” Comprise a program whereby those who are uninsured are insured; but not simply a give-away – some pay from the individual – teaching them to work to ward their own independent ability to pay for private insurance which should cover more – to continually give to those who do not deserve help only hurts those who do.
When the law was changed to force every individual to have automobile insurance or be fined – everyone got automobile insurance or faced the consequences. They had choices regarding their coverage – love the Progressive ads, huh? Will we one day see the government take over all forms of insurance – car, boat, home? Destroying private enterprise will make us all wards of the state and when no one is working – who will pay then? To destroy the rich will destroy the jobs. The government should impose some guidelines on the medical community not to hinder their performance; but to prevent overcharging. I personally would rather pay my doctor and hospital the premium every month and get my care from them before contracting with the devil – oops – government contracted people whose main purpose will be their bottom line NOT HEALTH CARE!
Doctors and hospitals should knock off the showroom lobbies and waiting rooms and stop having so many office employees that they are walking all over each other. We would rather sit in folding chairs with cement block walls than to have the government take over. For many years, I worked for the US Department of Labor – and we had Gray desk, Gray filing cabinets and most of the time had to bring our own ballpoint pens from home. I was transcribing reports and I had to buy my own dictionary – you didn’t want to type a mistake on that old blue paper we typed on. My husband worked for the Post Office for 33 years - a dedicated, award recognized employee for work beyond the call to duty. He often said the Post Office would be better off firing most of those who were lazy and paying those who worked hard more and the Post Office would have been more sufficient. But the union protected the guilty as well as the innocent.
So you think socialism is okay? Lesson: A young college girl came home from school on break and her Dad asked how she was doing and what she was learning. She replied that she was learning that socialism was better than democracy – because everyone would be treated equal. Then he asked how her grades were and she said, “excellent” – I am making “A’s” in all my classes; but I must admit I have been working very hard for them.” Then he asked about her roommate’s grades – having foreknowledge of her lack of seriousness about her grades. She replied, “Oh, she is barely getting by – failing some classes and near on others.” Her father asked her why she didn’t go to the professors and offer to have her grades averaged with her classmates so that they both could have a passing grade. She was outraged saying that she had worked hard while her roommate stayed up late at night, didn’t study, didn’t show up for class and that would not be fair. Her father told her that was socialism in action – the facts and reality were harder to live with than then premise and the unrealistic promises.
Mr. Daniel Hannan says:
“If you decide to do this thing, you can’t do it experimentally for a year or two and then change your mind if it doesn’t work out. That isn’t our experience. That isn’t how the dynamic of the thing operates. One point four million people work for the British National Health Service. One point four million people. It is the third largest employer on the planet. The largest is the Chinese Red Army. The second largest is the Indian national railways. The third largest in the British NHS. And here’s the really scary statistic. Of that 1.4 million people, the majority are bureaucrats. There are more managers in that 1.4 million than there are doctors and nurses put together. … When you have that big a block of the electorate who feel that they have a vested interest in the status quo, you try and get any major party to go into an election promising a radical change. … Be absolutely certain before you make this change that you really do want to do it, because if it doesn’t work out, don’t imagine that people are then going to say: “Well, yeah; that’s alright; we’ll just go back to how it was.”
Watch the whole speech for more lessons from Europe’s statist economies. You can hear and see Daniel Hannan – he lays it out step by step how Europe has traveled the road that lies before us with still an opportunity to turn back before it is too late. This video lasts about an hour; but you will not be bored – he speaks frankly about serious matters with a note of humor – but beware he tells a rather off color illustration as an introduction; but it does get the point across. But he ends well.
He explains how people in Europe are denied health care, restricted in health care and says that there is the very last place you would want to have a serious illness. If you don’t have a full hour, listen for one-half hour and that will take you up to that which is quoted above; but be sure and go back and listen to the rest as Part two of the video. Don’t dare miss the last half. It has even more information. It is more advantageous for you to listen to it in its entirely, however. It is advisable to take pen and paper in hand and takes notes like you would during a good Sunday Morning Sermon. His ending remarks and illustration more than makes up and amends for his introductory statement about Sir Winston Churchill.
He is but yet another watchman in the tower – sounding the alarm based on what has happened in Europe. He knows that a strong democratic America will benefit all of the world. While there are many nations desiring to be like America – here it is, we ( the best country in all the world) wants to be like Europe which is decaying and dying, We
are being taken in bit by bit by the very things that they allowed to creep into their government.
As far as electronic recordkeeping – ouch! Help! Duck out of the way! Just yesterday my daughter was called to the school as her son’s school records were gone along with 18 other students – and that only came to light because they are football players and needed grade certifications to be sent to the state before eligibility could be established. How many are lost and they don’t know they are lost is still a mystery. When my husband was in the hospital he week before he died. They had his records in the electronic nightmare – there were so many things listed wrong in those computer generated records, I can not list them here. But this one I will share. He never smoked in his life. The first entry said he was a smoker – the second said that he had smoked but had stopped and a third one said something else. They had him sitting on the side of the bed eating three meals a day and he was flat of his back in ICU and they would not even let him have ice chips – minor you say but here was more. If they make any mistakes it is precursory to expect that they have made many – even life threatening. You see, I am not defending the health care system as a whole – they make mistakes that cost over 200,000 lives a year; but what I am defending is the freedom to choose which doctor and hospital I allow to kill me.
As Europe denied God, constructed a secular form of government, the government took over every aspect of their lives. The individual was lost and devalued for the good of the “whole.” We have the best medical system in the world, though it could still be improved – and the best legal system – and the best basis for government ever written – the Constitution – we are like our normal greedy, dissatisfied, bored selves – we want to change what is working and does not need to be changed. We need to take a long hard look in the mirror – we are the most fortunate and blessed people in all the world and we won’t to be like those who are not. People need to stop standing around with their hand out and put those hands to work to support themselves, their families and America and keep their hands out of the pockets of those who do work. You have got to listen to the story David Hannan tells about being mugged. It is funny.
House Speaker Pelosi said that those who did not support the bill was un-American – what would she know about being a good American? First wee need to pull these people into line with a strict budget – no jets, Miss Pelosi. No porn theaters in California receiving stimulus money – huh? Yes, that is right.
If we continue to allow those to draw us toward European health plans - and laws – we will one day look back and see what freedoms and blessings we gave up for a mess of porridge like Esau in the Bible when he gave up his birthright and heritage for a bowl of soup – to feed his immediate hunger – with no regard to continual hunger. Genesis:27
