Petville are currently running a neat contest that allows all players to have a chance to be a "Backyard Designer".  This means that players will be able to create ideas for backyard-themed items for Petville, and Zynga will choose one or more lucky winners to have their ideas created by a professional artist and put into Petville.  This is a great opportunity to see some great player-made ideas make it into the game.

To enter, players have to take a screenshot of their pet in Petville, and then place them into a scene with one object that they would like to see in their pet's backyard. The rules are as follows:

  • Only one entry per person will be allowed.
  • All images have to be posted to the Petville Official Forums thread.
  • The entries have to be original creations, which means the art can not be taken from the web.  They should be created in an art program such as Photoshop, MS Paint, or another program like this.
  • More items can be included in the picture, but you should be clear in the forum post which item you are entering into the contest.

The deadline for this contest is Monday, March 15th at 10:00am Pacific Time.  The winner will recieve 100 Pet Cash and have their item recreated in Petville for all players to buy.  Two runners-up will win 25 Pet Cash each.

This is a fun contest that could end up with a great result!  Are you entering?  If so, what kind of item are you putting in YOUR backyard?
