Crowdstar are one of the leading Facebook developers, with popular games such as Happy Aquarium, Happy Island, and Happy Pets. This week, they have hopped on the zoo game train started by popular game Zoo World, and have released Zoo Paradise to the public.

Zoo Paradise is spreading quickly, but is clearly a beta product. While it suffers from a lower-than-usual framerate, and a rather short newbie experience, there are several good things going on in Zoo Paradise. The game starts new players right off in the action, and doesn't require a long and tedious tutorial. The game mechanics are very easy to grasp and understand, and the game looks really well done. Zoo Paradise has also been one of the first few games to integrate Facebook Credits, the official Facebook currency. This provides a safe and easy way for players to buy items directly through Facebook without the fear of giving credit card information to another third-party source.
They are pushing the purchase of Facebook credits for many items, even early on. When you try to place an item from the Zoo Shop in Zoo Paradise, it will prompt you to buy Facebook credits in a nifty popup that happens directly in the game. Zoo patrons have to be happy and entertained in order to keep wanting to come back, and players can buy drinks for them. Animals require regular feedings to stay happy. Animal exhibits can be placed anywhere within the green field, but I can see where people will run out of space quickly. As of now, there is no way to expand zoos but that could possibly change as the game matures.

The game does require many of the same elements as other games, such as wall postings to save animals, adding neighbors to unlock content, sending gifts to people, and leveling up. Zoo Paradise isn't necessarily doing anything new with the game, but their animals and aesthetic are very adorable and are likely to spread quickly among Facebook gamers. There is plenty of room for more cute animals!

I don't do any of those applications.. I've tried and they always want money for some of them.. they ask for my credit card.. so I don't mess with them.
I just stumbled upon Zoo Paradise, and it's obviously a new game, very simple, but already I love it. I think the animals are adorable! And I see a lot of potential for popularity, once the creators flesh out the game some more. It would be nice to be able to breed or train animals, I guess. And seeing as the game is so new, it's hard to find neighbors right now. But all in all, fun and cheery. With more development, I predict this game will take off!
It's a wonderful game.. but I don't see how or where to feed the animals?
