Yeow.
What are you looking for in a man? Who cares? Just go to the Huffington Post and check out all of the hot farmers. Huffington thinks "[t]here's nothing more attractive than someone who likes to get their hands dirty, supports green eating and looks great doing it." What they're doing is tying together a Michael-Pollan-inspire- impetus with sexy dudes. There are sparse ladies, but most of the hot farmers are men. The winner should be David. There's David, right there. With the big box of tomatoes. Hi, David.

There he is again. David Stockhausen. He began the Amyitis Garden project in the Mission in order to empower and educate via sustainable farming. He also supplies produce to local restaurants, such as Boogaloo. If you'd like to be involved, click on the link above to navigate to the blog. Amyitis can dig up your yard. Make it edible. Make it green.
We spent this afternoon drinking Philz, eating permission (persimmon) ice cream and trying to get some dirty dirt on David. This is what we came up with: he grows delicious arugula. He farmed in Vermont before comig to the Bay Area. That's all we know. We want him to stay forever.

I make myself laugh. A lot. It's so bad. But yay!
Huff Post Contest:Farmer Billiam Liberty View Farm. I have been organically farming for ten years working with many farmers and my community on all sorts of projects and innovations. I believe in one far all and all for one cross-pollinating and do not believe in competition so to speak.Saturday I thought of an idea. I was running neck and neck with the guy in San Fransisco and running the farm at harvest I did not have the time to promote this like he has with his PR Person... I told him (when I was in the lead) If I were to win I would share the prize of blogging with him honor all farmers and symbolize how all of us farmers working together accomplish healthier growing and are better able to educate and set an example if we support one another. It would also make for a better story and have greater impact!Monday he sent an e-mail declining my offer! For several reasons he said it would be less useful for him!
I was devastated. If I win I am going to include all of us in this contes

Re: Billiam, Very apologetic! It seems we've had a big misunderstanding. We absolutely support fostering a farming community and not competing against other farmers. I think this competition has been fun for people, and has generated a lot of interest in our individual farming projects and all of our larger cause. When you asked me to contact HuffPo with you and make a "uncompetitive statement," as co-hotties I declined because I didn't want to give the impression of taking this whole thing too seriously. I'd like to give a big thanks to the Huffington Post for doing this article, it's a fun gimmick that's gotten people interested in what we're doing. It sounds like you're working on some amazing projects in New York. It's been great hearing about them, and I wish you all the best in your future farming endeavors. (leasing a tree is a great idea) I strive to educate my community about sustainability through food, fun and farming. Fun is our greatest educational ally. Let's keep it up!
