Sometimes a picture is worth a thousands words. This week, NASCAR made it's fifth visit to the Walter Reed Army Medical Center as a way to give thanks and show support for our American soldiers. As most exotic car owners already know, there are very few places in the world you can take your car for a show than at an event to help improve morale and show support for wounded soldiers.

That's why whether you are a NASCAR fan, are a devoted lover of Formula One, have already taken exotics down for a caravan road trip drive to Walter Reed (near Washington DC) or simply are just a proud American the stories presented in these photos are good ones to know about and see.

In the photo above, Walter Reed Medical Army Medical Center patients Specialist Kenneth Parker, 25, of Evansville Ind., left, and Gabriel Coppedge, 31, check NASCAR race cars on display at the medical center, Thursday, Sept. 24, 2009 in Washington. Parker is recovering in Walter Reed from injuries sustained when his vehicle was hit by an Explosive Form Projectile (EFP) on June 7, 2008, in central Baghdad. This is NASCAR's fifth visit to the medical center to thank Wounded Warriors for their service and give back a little pleasure to a population that enjoys the sport. (AP Photo/Manuel Balce Ceneta)

To all our soldiers at home and abroad, all our veterans -- wounded or not  -- we can't thank you enough for right or wrong, popular or not, being willing to put your lives on line ever day fro the love of your fellow citizens and being willing to step up and do your jobs.

I think this is a wonderful event to raise the spirits of the brave men and women who were willing to put it all on the line for us. Kudos to NASCAR too.
