After the one-two blockbuster punch of Wolverine and Star Trek, it seems that the summer movie season is in full swing, and we can expect more big-budget action epics, lowest-common-denominator comedies, and other such like-minded popcorn flick fare.
But one of my most anticipated movies of the summer is an independent film with a low budget and (I'm guessing) no action scenes. Woody Allen's newest film in his hugely prolific career, Whatever Works, hits Salt Lake City's Broadway theater July 24th, and judging by the trailer it looks like a fun and philosophical romp through New York City, and Allen's dialogue seems a perfect fit for fellow NY nebbish Larry David.
