Do you have a future filmmaker at home? You might want to look into From You to YouTube, a summer workshop in NYC. The workshop is offered to young adults between ages 12 - 18 with a working knowledge of Mac computers and a passion for filmmaking.

From You to YouTube is an intensive hands-on summer workshop for young adults in writing, shooting, directing, editing and even distributing your own work. The workshop lasts two weeks and meets each day from 10am to 5pm.

The workshop is offered by Manhattan editworkshop. There are two workshops still open in August. The first meets from August 3 - August 14, 2009 and the second from August 17 - August 28, 2009. The workshop isn't cheap, but it is fun, intensive and very educational.
