The world lost one of the most talented singers of all time today. Michael Jackson died of cardiac arrest today, June 25th, 2009. The world seemed to fall silent when the news of Michael Jackson's death. People cried in public and in private when the news broke. Even hours after Jackson's deat was confirmed people stood in disbelief hoping and praying that this was all one big mistake. The King of Pop cannot possibly be dead.

Michael Jackson is understandable being compare to Elvis. Everyone seems to remember where they were on August 16, 1977, the day Elvis died. This generation will remember today's day vividly. We will tell our children and grandchildren about this day.

Elvis was 42 years old when he died, Michael Jackson was 50.

Elvis Presley first started performing in 1954. His music career lasted 23 years until 1977 when he died from a drug overdose.

Michael Jackson first started performing in 1967 with the Jackson 5. His career has spanned an impressive 42 years.

In 1994 Michael Jackson married Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of Elvis Presley. Their marriage only lasted 20 months.
