Disney fans come in all shapes and sizes. And those die hard Disney fans who take the time and money to get a Mickey Mouse tattoos are no different.
Thousands of folks get tattoos about Disney ranging from the Mouse himself to the Disney logo; from Lilo to Goofy. And these pieces of art are walking all over so you just might sees some yourself when you meet a new Disney fan. Or you might run into the Disneyland Tattoo Man himself with over 1700 tattoos just about Disney (which has to be including Disneyland and Disney World.)
A typical Disney tattoo is made by a pretty easy process. The tattoo receiver decides they want a tattoo and locates a tattoo parlor, but before going in they do a little research. When deciding on a tattoo it is usually a good idea to find an image that fits what you are looking to reflect being tattooed. It could be a magazine photo, a piece of artwork or even a photograph. After the tattoo artist takes a look, they sketch out the art again adding their style to it and color. If all works out, and the image is liked, then the needle comes out to start the tattoo.
After calling around, I found that an average color tattoo is about $70 an inch. So a 3 inch tattoo (average for any design) is right around $210. And as you will see, 3 inches is minor compared to how elaborate some of these tattoos are.
