God bless America and nowhere else

Anyone who has ever seen the movie Head of State, with Chris Rock, will remember this statement. Chris Rock plays an alderman running for President of the United States, against well-known candidate, who ended all of his speeches with, "God bless American, and nowhere else!"

It often seems like Americans think, they are the only nation favored by God, and nowhere else.   We imply that, every other nation should be like us, and that God has anointed us to save the world.

God does not see us as divided in to different countries.  He sees all of us, as His creation, which he loves.  God has created us, each with loving care and it wounds Him to see how we hurt and brutalize each other.

America, America, God shed his grace on thee...It is understandable that we love and cherish our country; but remember that God created all men. 

Genesis 1:26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness:

When you are praying for America, do not forget Russia, do not forget North Korea, do not forget Iraq, do not forget, Mexico, and do not forget all the other nations of the world, that God has also shed His grace.

We are not just Americans; we are planet earth and each one, a part of the other.  We are all joined together by the fact, that God’s breath dwells in us.

Genesis 2:7 And the LORD God formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul. 

Pray that all warring nations will lay down their weapons and live in peace.  Pray that God would bless North Korea to know freedom and individuality.  Pray that women in nations that oppress them, will know what it is like to live without fear.  Pray that never again will children be sold into slavery.  No, America cannot take care of everyone, but we can pray.  Pray, God bless America and everywhere else!
